Non-metallic mineral raw materials used in the preparation of silicon dioxide include diatomite, protein soil, serpentine, bentonite, kaolin, wollastonite, quartz sand, sepiolite, attapulgite, fly ash, zircon, gangue, yellow phosphate, etc. The use of non-metallic mineral preparation of silica white, is technically feasible, economic efficiency is good, deep processing and comprehensive utilization of non-metallic minerals and provides a new way.

Halloysite clay silicon dioxide(SiO2) mass fraction of 46.15%, in the natural whiteness of 75% ~ 85%. Main technology is halloysite clay pieces first to 75 ~ 250 m, and then roasting (700 ℃, 3 h), and then roasting soil mass fraction 30% industrial hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid according to certain quality ingredients, under certain conditions of temperature, time, acid leaching, by neutralizing, filtering, washing, drying, sorting silica white.

Serpentine containing MgO style mass fraction is about 39.5%, containing silicon dioxide(SiO2) mass fraction is about 40.4%, is a kind of very useful of magnesite resources. Main process is: serpentine ore powder with magnesium inorganic acid leaching, leaching slag is mainly porous silicon dioxide and a small amount of unreacted minerals; Leaching residue under atmospheric pressure is 100 ℃, using caustic soda solution which can be silica dissolution, formation of sodium silicate solution; Reacts with acid and sodium silicate solution preparing silica white.

Protein soil and diatomite are amorphous silicon dioxide minerals, the main chemical composition is SiO2 · nH2O. Can make full use of the characteristics of production of sodium silicate, and made silica white. This process is characterized by sodium silicate production under the normal pressure, does not need to pressure vessel, shorter reaction time, low energy consumption, reduce the production cost.
