Preparation of silicon dioxide by chemical precipitation method 

Sodium silicate and ammonium chloride as raw materials, can be used with ethanol aqueous solution as solvent, using chemical precipitation method to prepare nano - silicon dioxide. Deionized water and anhydrous ethanol mixed at a certain concentration in three bottles, add a certain quality of sodium silicate and a small amount of dispersant, put in constant temperature water bath, conditioning section to 40 + / - 1 ℃, mixing state to join the ammonium chloride solution, namely appear milky white precipitation, washing, suction filter, 100 ℃ drying, placed in a muffle furnace 1 h 450 ℃ roasting, SiO2 powders by white light. The SiO2 particles of amorphous structure, the approximate spherical, particle size of 30 ~ 50 nm, part gathered through mutual coupling between particles, surface has the micropore honeycomb.  

With sodium silicate (modulus of 3.3) and hydrochloric acid as raw material, and control in the super constant temperature water bath at about 40 ~ 50 ℃ for precipitation reaction, control the finish pH 5 ~ 6, the sediment by centrifugation washing to remove Cl -, then 12 h under 110 ℃ drying, undertake calcined at 500 ℃ can be product again. Made silicon dioxide particle size in 50 ~ 60 nm, specific surface area is big, good dispersion.  

Chemical precipitation has the raw material sources, low price, small energy consumption, simple process, easy to industrialization and etc., but at the same time, there is also a product particle size big or wide ranges.
