Nano silicon dioxide as the amorphous white powder, is a kind of non-toxic, tasteless, no pollution of inorganic non-metallic materials, it has small particle size, it's particle size is usually 20 ~ 200 nm, high chemical purity, good dispersion, specific surface area is large, wear-resisting, corrosion resistance, is an important member of the nanometer materials. Because nano-silica surface unsaturated double bond and hydroxyl, different bonding state has regular powder materials do not have special properties, such as interface of small size effect, surface effect, quantum tunnel effect, macroscopical quantum tunnel effect, and special characteristics: photoelectric, and show the special mechanics, optics, electricity, magnetism, thermal and chemical properties, and in recent years, with the development of nano silica preparation technology and modification research in-depth, nano silica in rubber, plastics, coatings, functional materials, communications, electronics, biology, and medicine, and many other fields has been widely used.

After collecting data, some textbooks and literatures, found that the silicon dioxide has a variety of different preparation methods, including chemical precipitation, gas phase method, sol-gel method, microemulsion method, gravity method and mechanical FenSuiFa and so on. Now, the introduce are as follows:

Chemical precipitation method is one of the main current production of nano silicon dioxide. The basic principle of this method is to use metal salt or alkali solubility, adjust the solution acidity, temperature, solvent, make its produce precipitation, and the sediment washing, drying, heat treatment made of super fine powder.

Sol-gel process is a kind of material preparation method which developed in 60 s. Its basic process is: some easy hydrolysis of metal compounds, inorganic salt or metal alkoxide react with water in a solvent, after hydrolysis and polycondensation and gelation gradually, again after drying finishing process, can produce the powder materials.
